This piece is handmade by San Francisco artist, Nina Saltman using mono-print/slip transfer technique with porcelain clay. It is glazed with food safe material and is dishwasher and microwave safe. Please note that slight variations in size and color are a natural part of these handmade pieces.
Nina Saltman is a retired carpenter and construction worker now fully engaged in clay work, she works with clay to make pieces that are colorful, functional, and funky. She makes her pieces using both a potter's wheel as well as handbuilding techniques to get the texture and shape just right. Nina is the co-owner of sfclayworks studio in San Francisco, where she makes her pieces and continues to teach ceramics.
